LITHUANIA - We received this submission from Ernesta Žemaitytė, a pantomime artist from Lithuania! Despite being diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child, Ernesta has become one of the first women in Lithuania to create and perform original solo pantomime stories and dances, and has been performing for over 15 years with various groups of artists with disabilities. Ernesta uses pantomime not only to express herself but also as a powerful way to heal and cope with her cerebral palsy.

USA - New Conservatory Theatre Centre’s World premiere of The Book of Mountains and Seas by Yilong Liu and directed by Becca Wolff. Due to the corona virus, it only got one performance on stage on March 6th before we had to close and sadly that might end up being the only one of this beautiful play about friendship, grief, and cultural and generational divides.

NY, USA - Submitted by company Artistic Director, Teddy Tedholm, this projection plays during tedted Performance Group’s new piece, 95 Poems, a show based on the works of EE Cummings, using spoken word, dance, projection mapping, and sculpture.

BC, CANADA - This submission, written by UBC grad and Jessie Award-winning playwright Leisl Lafferty, is an excerpt from one of the Grad readings that was supposed to premiere at this year’s Brave New Rites Festival, March 17-22 in Vancouver.
