Support Act, Australia

Support Act is Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief services to artists, crew and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem, or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music.

Our assistance can take the form of paying the rent or the mortgage, buying a bed or wheel chair, paying for car repairs, medical / dental / phone / electricity bills, or a credit card debt. We provide referrals to other support services; funding for funerals; and we support friends and family seeking to raise funds for an artist or music worker in crisis through our Help a Mate program.

Actors Fund (US)

Founded in 1882, we serve all professionals—and not just actors—in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance through programs that address our community's unique and essential needs.

Employment in any division of the performing arts and entertainment industry is unpredictable. Work is erratic, security is fleeting and health insurance is often just a dream. For all of these reasons and many more, The Actors Fund is an indispensable and deeply significant part of the entire entertainment community.

Donations will be accepted by individuals and corporations in order to replenish the fund and continue making payments to eligible artists in the queue. The Civic, Tallaght is covering all admin/processing costs so 100% of every donation goes directly to artists in the community.  Please consider donating using the form below or contact niamh@civictheatre.ie to get involved. Playwright’s Guild of Canada

Our mission since our founding in 1972 has been to advance the creative rights and interests of professional Canadian playwrights, promote Canadian plays nationally and internationally, and foster an active, evolving community of writers for the stage. With over 800 members, this is a massive undertaking.

When you donate to PGC, you are contributing to an enormous community of Canadian storytellers. Your support allows us to continue to bring services and programming to playwrights who often do not have the means to support themselves based on their work alone.
