‘Boxed In’ - A Music Video by S!lky Jones and Trombroski
NYC, New York, USA - Created by Nich “Silky” Jones and Julie “Trombroski” Dombroski, this beautiful music video was created in response to the quarantine measures being taken in New York City. After a series of lost gigs and work due to social distancing, these two incredible artists have created something really special and have definitely captured the current state of their city in a stunning and unique way.

Charlie Rauh - Lullaby Suite
NYC, USA - Charlie Rauh is a touring musician based out of New York, New York. From his submission he says “I compose solo acoustic guitar music often inspired by my favorite literature - and decided to make a fully improvised EP conceptually based on the thought process of a character in one of my favorite books as a way to share immediate music during this difficult and uncertain time.”
New Work at The Philadelphia Orchestra
Philadelphia, UNITED STATES - In honour of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, the Philadelphia Orchestra, in partnership with the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music, was set to perform four new compositions that were in conversation with the work of Beethoven. While some pieces, such as Iman Habibi’s Jeder Baum spricht (in the video above) were played to an empty house, others never got to be played at all. Composer and pianist Iman Habibi was he kind enough to send a video of his great work along to us.
Leandra Ramm Sings Bach
San Francisco, USA - Leandra Ramm is a remarkably versatile mezzo-soprano who has sung in such renown venues as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Centre. She was scheduled to sing in J.S. Bach’s Magnificat and Handel's Dixit Dominus with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra on April 4, but the performance was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Cipriano Ortega’s “Jizz Jazz”
Denver, USA - COVID -19 prevented Cipriano Ortega’s song series from being performed and filmed before a live audience. Instead, Cipriano has posted a rehearsal of his show: a political cabaret that is a musical commentary on the society we live in today. The main character Mr. Mundane, is thrown into a world of numb ritual and consequently looses his mind. This song ,”Jizz Jazz,” is a commentary on Cipriano’s relationship to prescription drugs and his own mental health.
American Symphony Orchestra
New York, USA - The remainder of ASO’s season was cancelled due to the pandemic, In response, ASO will release a recording of a past performance online every Wednesday. Content will be available for 45 days and will alternate weekly between live video recordings of SummerScape operas and audio recordings from previous ASO concerts that you can enjoy in your home.
