Austrian Textile Artist - Janine Heschl
AUSTRIA - Janine is a textile artist in Austria who submitted this incredible work. Stitched on a vintage Singer sewing machine. The image of the chimpanzee was to be presented as a gift in honour of Dr. Jane Goodall, presented at an anniversary event in Vienna (since cancelled), where Dr. Goodall was to make a speech.
We love this work, and are thrilled that she submitted and has taken the time to speak about her process!

From the submission: FOUR SISTERS is a podcast written by Susanna Fournier, a sonic rendering of play that showed last year at the Theatre Centre as part of the Luminato Festival. It's a timely piece, and one just released, by an ascendant feminist voice in Toronto's independent theatre community.
