Addis Ababa, ETHIOPIA - Yabsira’s photography shocked me when it first showed up in my inbox. Such incredibly powerful images, such a young, sharp eye. He’s insightful, hardworking, ambitious, and smart. And lucky for us… there’s no sign of him slowing down.

It's always exciting to hear from you, it's been quite a year and I am highly grateful that we are all safe through this tough time. I am glad "the social distancing festival" was created for artists that thrive to showcase their work and make a bit of influence with their works such as myself. I would like to thank God first for everything and secondly my parents and family, miss Mahlet Mairegu(Bruh club) for directing me to this platform then my mentor Adane Firde and my boss Aziz yimam for all their support, and never to be forgotten here's a huge Thank you to Nick Green and all the teams who created this platform for us.

Covid here (in Ethiopia) has been pretty much difficult and it has affected the economy more than the other affected topics, my personal journey in this time has been more of the spiritual and less of the physical. This pandemic has impacted my work somehow in a positive way and working at home and its freedom is truly satisfying however, the interaction and creating exposure has been affected negatively in the same level, that being said I hereby introduce myself again.
