Duencia

Philadelphia, USA - This collection of images was submitted to us by the artist and creator, Scot J. Wittman. This beautiful mix of photography and dance is a larger part of the piece, Duencia, which has been created by Scot.

From the submission, Scot describes Duencia as a “hybrid arts event+performance in traditional white box galleries”. These hybrid gallery shows would tour to different galleries and would feature photography, virtual reality, ceramics, 3D print, and live dance performance! Unfortunately, due to social distancing, the choreographer and dancers have only met once, the 3D print lab used for this exhibition is closed, the ceramicist’s studio is shut down, and the virtual reality specialists can’t meet with the Scot or the dancers to continue to collaborate. By looking at Duencia, we can see clearly how so many kinds of art are being affected by this pandemic, but we are so glad we can share some of Scot’s work with you!
