Self Analysis
Mississauga, CANADA - These four pieces from Yi Wu Duan are moving and thought provoking. The artist seeks to express feelings that can't be described simply by words. In these times, I can deeply relate, and I think you will too.
From the artist:
A lot of my paintings are simply a reflection of my thoughts and emotions. Most of the time I use paintings to record events that have happened throughout my life. I have always had difficulties explaining my emotions and complex ideas which is why I love to spend time on the canvas to journal. I remember as a kid, that I drew way more than I spoke because I found it easier to express myself through art rather than speaking out my emotions/feelings. Throughout my life I have continued to develop my visual skills as it became my strongest method of communication and it allowed me to communicate with others visually rather than verbal communication.
I wanted to submit these 4 paintings to showcase my feelings and emotions through this pandemic which I believe can be better explained by analyzing the paintings rather than me to explain the significance of them.
